Platy Fry all in Main Tank Now
All the remaining Platy Fry that were born in December are now in the main tank. The final one of the four that survived has made its way to the main tank. She was the smallest of the batch so waited until she was bigger to release her.
The fry can all be sexed now, there are 3 females and 1 male.

Daphnia Culture Kit
I have also bought a Daphnia culture kit, it arrived a few hours ago, have added the live culture to some bottled water and will leave it till water turns clear and give them a feed. I am certainly getting into unknown teritory doing this.
Brine Shrimp Eggs
I ordered some Baby Brine Shrimp eggs and just set it up. I used an old Pepsi 2 litre bottle, added air hose to it, along with sea salt and some eggs.
I then put the whole bottle in the big fish tank and let it bubble away, worst thing is it makes a lot of noise, the air, the plastic vibrating through the water is making noise much louder.

New Guppy
I was in my local shop getting some frozen bloodworm's and there was a tank of guppies on special for £1, so I picked the smallest one and it looks like a male, he has a dangler, but never say never as my platy turned from male to female so maybe his dangler is just a folded up fin.
Here is really small and his tail is in bad shape so looks like that's why it was cheap, but its certainly active in the tank and eating well considering been in the tank only 3 hours.

How many of the new batch survived?
Just over a week ago the yellow platy gave birth to over 40 fry and i decided to put them in with the frogs and other month old platy fry and see how they do, survival of the fittest.
Now I can only count two left, so looks like they were all sushi dinner, but who know, maybe they just died and rotted over night, who knows!
the frogs did not look like they had eaten a lot so guess i will never know. Will see if the final two survive
Another of the big Fry in the Main Tank
Another of my original 7 platy fry has gone into the main tank, that now makes 3 of them there now, 1 male and 2 females.
It just leaves one in with the frogs now, but still a mystery where the other 3 vanished to.
Two Platy Fry Dissapeared!
Yesterday I had four of my original Platy Fry in the tank but today 2 of them have totally vanished, no bodies nothing. They were far too big to be eaten by the frogs so its a mystery!

Raw Suchi
I have decided to put half of the fry into the frog tank as a treat for my frogs but also see how many survive!, for the present time will keep the other half in the hatchery.
